HLM 322 - Vocal Literature I

This course involves a careful examination of German Lieder in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In surveying representative works of the major Lied composers, emphases are on the styles, forms, and poetry that characterize this body of music.
Prerequisite(s): HLM 213 .
