2 credit(s)
This course will develop an Intermediate understanding of the Limón technique. Building on Limón I, warm-ups will advance stylistic and coordinative complexity, and center work will present increased technical challenges in movements based on the principles and philosophies of Doris Humphrey and José Limón. The locomotive patterns and movement sequences, which will reference the Humphrey and Limón repertories, will give particular attention to dynamic change, phrasing, and personal intention.
Prerequisite(s): DFA 122 ; dance performance or ballet pedagogy majors only. Open to non-majors by audition.
