DFA 419 - José Limón Technique III


2 credit(s)
Students enrolled in the Limón III course will develop an advanced understanding of the specific Humphrey/Limón movement principles that have been covered in previous semesters. Returning to signature movement patterns, the dancers will work toward artistic refinement and immersive embodiment of the style. They will explore more complex phrasing choices, longer arcs of cohesion in movement sequences and strongly stated personal interpretation. Culminating projects will be the structuring and teaching of a Limón class.
Prerequisite(s): DFA 327  for Dance Performance and Ballet Pedagogy majors. Open to non-majors by audition.
