DFA 375 - Dance for Camera

A laboratory course providing theoretical and practical experiences for students interested in exploring and integrating the art of choreography and the art of digital film making. This course is an extension of the Technology in Dance course, but specifically focuses on Dance for Camera exploratory projects utilizing the following skill sets: Fundamental camera knowledge: Students learn how to work with a state of the art digital camera; Cinematography: Students learn how to work behind the lens; Composition, Angles, Shot scale and camera movement; Choreography for the Camera: Students explore composition within the camera frame; Editing: Students will work individually and one-on-one with the instructor to develop editing skills and a working knowledge of industry editing tools.
Prerequisite(s): DFA 350P .
