ECT 411 - Robotic Systems

An introduction to Robotics Technology with emphasis on skills that are needed for development of robot systems. Students will get deep knowledge of robot operating system and programming techniques for creating robotic applications. Students undertake practice-oriented group lessons in topics such as robotics programming, 3D modelling and simulation, sensor data acquisition and its processing and actuator control. Students will apply the skills they gained from the above lessons to use various robotic sensors and networked actuators to perform specific tasks through team projects. Students will work on several projects including a final project in a team setting. Six hours of combined lecture/laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): ECT 242  (minimum grade C-) and ECT 365  (minimum grade C-).
