COM 111P - First Course Composition


3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Collaborative Learning (with COM 110P)
This course develops the student’s ability and technique in musical composition. Group exercises foster an understanding of the creative collaborative process. Individual weekly lessons are given by a teaching fellow, in addition to classes directed by a faculty composer. Courses are open to non-music majors by permission of the instructor.
Prerequisite(s): Hartt students or permission of instructor.
