MSF 283 - Montessori Psychology and Development - Part 2

3 credit(s)
This course continues from Part 1 in presenting Dr. Maria Montessori’s developmental approach to the education of children and adolescents. The characteristics of each plane of development are studied in relation to social, emotional, cognitive and moral development. The child is seen as an active learner, needing to move, use his hands, explore, problem-solve, and converse about his activities with peers and adults. A range of disciplines (e.g., mathematics, history, language, music) is approached from the point of view of the psychology of the child during this period of his/her life.
Prerequisite(s): MSF 282 .
