INT 610 - Methodologies in Contemporary Art

3 credit(s)
This seminar course provides advanced study of a wide range of interdisciplinary art practices. By investigating interdisciplinary approaches to visual art, students will broaden their awareness of methods, materials, and critical approaches in contemporary art. This course engages participants in a research project of their choice to be presented in a seminar/conference format. The goal is to provide an opportunity to imagine a new work and relate the student’s proposed project to other contemporary and historical projects as students develop possible strategies for future ways of working. This seminar is a foundation for the MFA curriculum.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the MFA Interdisciplinary Art program.
