NUR 703 - Quality and Safety in Health Care


3 credit(s)
This course examines the role of the advanced practice nurse in creating a culture of safety and quality at the organizational and leadership level in health care. Students will review national safety initiatives and implications for federal reimbursement as it relates to quality. Students will apply two quality improvement processes, Lean Process Improvement and Six Sigma, to create a quality improvement project proposal.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the DNP Program.
