HTA 345 - Costume and Wardrobe Analysis

This course will introduce students to the technical area of costuming for the stage and will identify the role of the costume designer, costume shop and wardrobe manager in the artistic creation of a theatrical production. The course content will include, but is not limited to: character analysis as a design function, a brief introduction to costume history, and the development of wardrobe paperwork and how it relates to the stage manager’s paperwork.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Hartt School or permission of instructor.
