This course is designed to introduce students to the history of Public Health, concepts and contemporary issues, and role of epidemiology. An overview of social and behaviors factors and environmental issues will be followed by a discussion of the role of Medical Care and Public Health and the Aging population. The course will use lectures, classroom activities and debates to help students understand the important role of Public Health in the 21st Century.
Prerequisite(s): Exercise Science major.
