HTD 316 - Hip Hop Dance

In this course, students will train in street jazz and hip hop dance, while exploring a range of hip hop styles and techniques. The genres will include popping, locking, house, breakdancing, and wave while infusing basic jazz and ballet technique. This course will also focus on dance performance and audition skills for both stage and camera. The course is taken in a studio format.
Prerequisite(s): Music theater or actor training majors only; music theatre jazz dance requirements met or permission of the instructor.
