DPT 530 - Clinical Observation

This course is designed to provide physical therapy students with practical application of principles and techniques learned during the academic portion of the semester and a greater appreciation for the field of physical therapy. Students will participate in a weekly half-day observation at a selected acute, subacute, or outpatient orthopedic site in the Greater Hartford community, including the University of Hartford faculty clinical practice. Students are expected to demonstrate professional behaviors in all interactions with patients, clients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals.
Prerequisite(s): DPT major.
