Accounting and Taxation

 

Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation, MSAT

Students will be able to:

  1. prepare clear, well-written documents.
  2. speak effectively on an accounting or taxation topic.
  3. collaborate with others to solve accounting or taxation issues.
  4. have the capacity to identify and diagnose accounting or taxation issues using various national and international accounting or tax standards.
  5. explore the impact of changing business conditions on accounting or tax practice.
  6. recognize and evaluate alternative courses of action to address ethical dilemmas.

 

Business Administration

 

Master of Business Administration, MBA

Students will be able to:

  1. prepare clear, well-written documents with effective structure and appropriate content.
  2. perform a cross-functional analysis and generate an integrated solution.
  3. effectively analyze a diversity problem in a business setting.
  4. effectively analyze a business problem considering the global economic environment.

 

Master of Science in Business Analytics, MSBA

Students will:

  1. Understand the different forms of analytics, i.e., descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive, and develop a sound understanding of the methods used in each. Describe the data considered using visual, numerical, or verbal tools. Differentiate the descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics.
  2. Explain how a data analytical model works and the intuitions behind it. Understand the model fitness and performance, can measure fit and performance appropriately. Use multiple strategies for constructing models. Apply different model fit and performance measures to assess models.
  3. Connect or apply the results to the original context of the data or meaningfully communicate the impact of the work. Effectively communicate analytical conclusions in written and visual formats. Articulate assumptions, analyses, and interpretations of data analysis. Critique the role of information and analytics in supporting business processes and functions.
  4. Generate simple statistical summaries using online tools or general-purpose software (e.g., Excel) Create a broader range of visual and numerical data summaries and carry out basic inferential procedures (confidence intervals and significance tests) using menu-driven statistical software. Fit complex models using dedicated statistical software (e.g., Python, R, SAS). Design statistical analyses and implement them with advanced statistical programming tools.
  5. Understand the ethical and security concerns in an analytic data project. Apply ethical principles in various stages of a data analytic project, including data collection, data storage, variable selection, or model assessment.  

 

Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship

 

Master of Science in Management, MSM

Students will:

  1. write a business report with appropriate content, structure and grammar.
  2. effectively analyze a multi-national management problem and develop appropriate solutions for a management problem.
  3. effectively engage in socially responsible projects tied to the curriculum and complete reflections demonstrating their ability to understand themselves in the context of society.
