CON 640 - Instrumental Conducting Methods and Techniques I

Development and application of advanced conducting techniques, including visual, harmonic, melodic, and structural score study; baton analysis; conducting zones and patterns; interpretation. Emphasis on orchestral literature from the 18th century to the present, determined by level. Laboratory orchestra conducting.
Prerequisite(s): CON 316 or equivalent.
