DPT 610 - Diagnosis and Intervention: Musculoskeletal Dysfunction II 2 credit(s) A detailed study of the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions for patients with musculoskeletal disability, impairment, and functional limitations of the temporomandibular joint, vertebral column, and pelvic girdle. The course addresses preventative measures for clients who have the potential to develop musculoskeletal problems in the workplace. There is an emphasis on the preferred-practice patterns as they relate to exercise prescriptions, integration of manual therapies and physical agents, and functional outcomes. Appropriate management of the psychosocial aspects of patients with musculoskeletal disorders and documentation of all aspects of patient management are reviewed. Current literature findings are incorporated so that students will be able to assess the methods of examination and intervention that they study. Prerequisite(s): DPT 608 . Corequisite(s): DPT 611 .
