MET 364 - Vibrations for Engineering Technology

The study of oscillatory motion of machines and structures and the forces that create this motion. Harmonically forced vibrations for single-degree-of-freedom systems, undamped and damped vibrations, and multi-degree- of-freedom systems are studied. Vibration instrumentation is also explored. Three lecture hours, three lab hours.
Prerequisite(s): MET 243  and MTH 352 .
Laboratory fee.
