EC 726 - Healthcare Economics and Analytics

This course will provide students with (1) an overview of the scope of topics important in the current health landscape; (2) a basic theoretical and empirical “toolkit” that will enable the students to ask and then use data/data analytic skills to appropriately answer questions about healthcare through the lens of an economist; (3) an understanding of the most important institutional features of the US health system, particularly the market for health insurance and the implications of recent, and potentially ongoing, health reform legislation.
Prerequisite(s): MGT 605 .
