TH 553 - Analysis for Performance


3 credit(s)
Analytical examination of works from all periods to show the relevance of analysis in interpretive decisions in performance. Performance, discussion by class members, guest performers/lecturers, and study of multiple recordings. Works to be analyzed in part determined by class. Usually offered alternate years. Three hours weekly.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate Music Theory Review Requirement.
