AFR 602 - Duke Ellington 3 credit(s) This course includes an analysis of audio and video material documenting the diverse musical styles and original compositions for which Mr. Ellington is known. In addition, a cultural and sociological perspective on Ellington’s work is presented, including his collaborators, which include Louis Armstrong, Billy Strayhorn and John Coltrane. Prerequisite(s): Hartt graduate student.
