INT 710 - Art and Ecology

Climate emergency influences contemporary cultural production on multiple levels. Contemporary artists require an understanding of the fundamentals of ecology and systems thinking as they engage with materials and production, platforms for distribution, and adaptive approaches to creative work, leadership, and education. Using a hands-on workshop format, the course will employ experiential learning within the natural environment to foster new levels of awareness and engagement with art and ecology.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the MFA Interdisciplinary Art program.
