CMM 466W - Student Firms: The Newsroom


3 credit(s) Writing Intensive and High Impact Practice: Capstone
Students produce a newscast to be presented on a local media outlet and rotate through a series of newsroom positions in the process. Positions include newscaster, sportscaster, entertainment reporter, online editor, assignment/lineup editor and general reporter. Students are expected to make editorial decisions associated with lineup selection and story coverage while dealing with deadlines in a real-time setting.
Prerequisite(s): CMM 214 , CMM 250W , and junior or senior standing or permission of instructor.
Laboratory fee.
