MSP 384 - Montessori Language Acquisition and the Expressive Arts

Montessori educators in this course focus on the development of spoken and written language, learning to reader and reading to learn as interwoven components of acquiring language. Emphasis is on spoken and written language in the areas of daily life, storytelling and composition, literature, cultural geography, history, music, art, as well as the functional aspects of grammar, syntax and reading analysis in order to support authentic self-expressions. Additional emphasis is on building self-confidence and self-expression in the social setting. Supervised practice hours and fieldwork hours are required for this course.
Prerequisite(s): MSF 280  and MSF 281 .
