The BB designation indicates this course will be taught at the Building Beauty program at the Sant’Anna Institute in Sorrento, Italy. This course introduces students to the geography, history, and culture of the Sorrento Peninsula and its adjacent centers: The Bay of Naples, The Amalfi coast, and Capri with the intent to investigate and reveal the local built form language relevant for the student’s project. The course is completed by the students carrying out an individual study of the Architectural Form Language of Sorrento and its environs, relevant to their project, and presenting it as part of their final presentations.
Prerequisite(s): ADT 156, ADT 232, ADT 244, or junior standing.
