ME 343 - Aerodynamics

This course develops knowledge of inviscid aerodynamics necessary for success in aerospace engineering. Topics include: subsonic, transonic, and supersonic airfoil theory; wing theory; normal and oblique shock waves; Prandtl-Meyer expansions; wing-body combinations; review of potential flow; method of images; source panel method; thin airfoil theory; symmetric/cambered airfoils; flapped airfoils; vortex panel method.
Prerequisite(s): ME 340  (minimum grade of C-).
