FIN 510 - Applied Financial Analysis and Investments

This course provides an applied financial analysis and investment opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students will obtain extensive hands-on experience in establishing, managing and reporting on an actual investment fund set up for the Barney School of Business. Students will review the overall economic operating environment, review selected industry trends, develop a risk based methodology for selection of investments, and understand the global and/or political impact of investment decisions as they decide on purchases and sales of actual investment products. Students will be trained on the Bloomberg terminals and may apply to be Bloomberg certified.
Prerequisite(s): FIN 604 , or FIN 310 and permission of instructor.
