DPT 635 - Integrated Experience II

This course is a continuation of DPT 535  and is designed to provide physical therapy students with practical application of principles and techniques learned during the academic portion of the semester, as well as a greater appreciation for the field of Physical Therapy. Students participate in clinical hands-on patient care or observation at selected specialty practice settings using the skills developed in the curriculum and previous clinical experiences. Students expand their ability to educate, evaluate, diagnose, or provide intervention for a wide variety of patients/ clients in physical therapy. Students broaden their clinical reasoning and reflective clinical practice skills, and are expected to demonstrate professional behaviors in all interactions with patients, clients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals. This course also continues to facilitate the development, measurement, and assessment of professionalism.
Prerequisite(s): DPT 535 .
