An original dissertation constituting a significant and original contribution to the field of music and learning. Required for Ph.D. candidates in music education. Doctoral candidates in composition fulfill the requirement by a work of major proportions and by written analysis of an approved composition or topic. Students may register for 2-9 credits per semester.
