PSY 538 - Organization Effectiveness

This course will introduce students to organizational theories, as well as structure, function, processes, and other organizational-level constructs that have an impact on the behavior of individuals in organizations. The course will be grounded in the theories of human cognition and behavior and the integration of organizational and individual constructs, from a psychological perspective. The students will learn theory, research, and skills relevant to changing individuals, groups, and organizations to improve their effectiveness. Topics covered may include: organization change, learning in organizations, designing organization development interventions, and program evaluation.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation into a psychology graduate program, or permission of the MSOP program director.
