BIO 521 - Applied Molecular Techniques Lab

This is a laboratory course on the principles and techniques of molecular and cell biology applied in the neuroscience field. The course is organized into modules, each aimed at introducing a specific set of tools in molecular biology ranging from extraction of DNA and RNA to cell culture methods. Each week students will perform hands-on experiments, and produce, discuss and troubleshoot results. A discussion of how to best represent the results of the different techniques will also be carried out in class.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 558 or permission of instructor.
