NUR 672 - Advanced Pathophysiology

Advanced Pathophysiology focuses on pathological abnormalities encountered in clinical practice across the lifespan among patient populations. This course is intended for advanced practice nurses to build on their clinical understanding of how and why the signs and symptoms of various conditions, syndromes, and diseases appear. In approaching disease as disordered physiology, this course analyzes regulatory and compensatory mechanisms of the human body in relation to abnormal clinical findings and treatment considerations. Emphasis on educating patients/families/communities by the advanced nursing professional will be highlighted throughout this course.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Master of Science in Nursing program.
