PHI 240 - Philosophy of Religion

This course is a philosophical examination of the central themes involved in religion and religious belief. We will consider why a good god would allow evil actions, the basis of religious belief, what it means to have faith, the existence of god, and the potential attributes of god. This class is designed to guide students through serious discussion of religious matters and work through the development of better reasoned positions concerning god and religious belief.
