RAD 440 - MRI Principles I

This course will introduce the student to the principles of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging including physics and safety. Screening and education, as well as the basics of electromagnetic fields are discussed. The formation of the MR signal is presented, as well as the essential components of the MR imaging system, including equipment and the MR suite environment.
Prerequisite(s): ARRT certification in radiography (R), current CPR certification, and appropriate state licensure, or permission of instructor.
