ECE 428 - Network Routing and Switching Essentials


3 credit(s)
Theory and understanding of essential networking fundamentals in routing and switching. The course covers how to implement static/dynamic routing, virtual local areas networks, access control list filtering, static/dynamic IP addressing, network/port address translation. Other topics include how to use monitoring/management tools and troubleshoot data networks. Three lecture hours.
Prerequisite(s): ECE 427  or CS 355 .
Laboratory fee.
