PHI 375P - Internship in Philosophy

3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Internship
The internship in philosophy consists of academically supervised work experience (100 hours per term) for students majoring or minoring in philosophy. Internships allow Philosophy majors and minors to supplement their classroom work with on-the job experience in non-profits, law offices, businesses, and educational and healthcare settings, and in other related fields. Typically, during one semester interns work off campus approximately 7 hours each week under the supervision of professionals in their fields. Prospective interns must secure a faculty mentor and must consult that mentor about the requirements of the internship before enrolling in the course.
Prerequisite(s): PHI 110 , 3.0 GPA or above, and permission of instructor.
