MUM 450 - Entrepreneurship in the Performing Arts

This course is designed to provide students who seek to establish their own professional performing arts organizations an opportunity to study the typical ethical and practical issues that new companies face when opening a business in the arts industry. Throughout the course of the semester, students will work with faculty to articulate their specific mission and business goals, develop the appropriate legal business structure, develop a business plan that addresses their fiscal needs and promotional strategy and will culminate in the creation of all supporting materials necessary to create their own enterprise.
Prerequisite(s): MUM 120 .
