ADT 475 - Architectural Hand Drawing 4 credit(s) This course explores different ways of creating free hand architectural drawings using pencils, pens, colored pencils, and watercolor. Students will be exposed to various free hand drawing techniques for representing the following drawing types: site plans, floor plans, exterior & interior elevations, building sections, interior and exterior perspectives, and sketch details. Black and white drawing techniques, as well as color techniques, will be explored. Students are encouraged to bring their own design projects to class, for free hand graphic interpretation and enhancement. We will also explore free hand techniques for humanizing and softening drawings, including modifying computer drawings with free hand flourishes. Two lecture hours, four lab hours. Prerequisite(s): ADT 233 or permission of instructor or department chair. Laboratory fee.
