The Capstone course uses knowledge and skills from previous courses to solve real-world data science problems. An instructor selected project, topic, or data set will serve as the basis for the course where using a team-based approach, students will utilize applicable data science techniques. Throughout the semester, students will provide status updates through written reports and presentations, culminating in a final report and presentation. This Capstone course will prepare students for a diverse workforce by providing students with experiences working in teams, planning and scheduling projects, writing professional reports, making professional presentations, and interpreting results for a general audience.
Prerequisite(s): M 260.
