MUM 342 - Women in the Recording and Performing Arts

This course takes students on an in-depth examination of the personal and professional lives of women at all stages of recording and performing arts careers. Students will discover the stories of contemporary women artists and executives through the study of text, autobiographies, and current news and research articles. Students will learn about the motivational forces that propelled the course subjects to success and also about the societal forces that stood, and sometimes still stand, in their paths. Open to all University of Hartford students.
Prerequisite(s): MUM 120.
