This course examines risk management and legal issues in the sports industry. It covers laws pertaining to sports employment and sports agencies, labor law, discrimination, sports governance, and contracts. The course also covers issues concerning liability (including sports injury litigation), intellectual property and promotion, marketing (including student athlete marketing rights), sports gambling, and sports risk management and mitigation.
Prerequisite(s): 24 earned credits.
