UISA 185 - Resilience, Empathy, and Young Adult Literature

3 credit(s)
This course is an exploration of the key principles of resilience for individual well-being. We will investigate the power of storytelling, adopt a new approach to problem solving, overcome obstacles, and reflect on the importance of our relationships. We will then apply the resilience principles to diverse texts of young adult literature through book clubs and film discussions. The book club final project combines technology, creativity, critical thinking, and reflection to highlight students’ growth over the semester.
