EDD 827 - Leadership for Social Justice

3 credit(s)
Social justice leadership concerns an individual’s ability to co-create more inclusive organizations and communities. This form of leading enables all voices and stakeholders within specific contexts to be fully heard and empowered. Leading in this way provides an important means through which to create and develop organizations, communities, and society to ensure people experience a sense of belonging. This course is intended to provide students with a foundation for leadership and system transformation in a wide variety of contexts. Topics also include advocacy, collective action, and the professional empowerment obligations the leader has to individuals served by the organization.
