EDD 840 - Research Methods for Social Justice Education

This course introduces you to research design and research methods in education. You will acquire the language and skills necessary to read, interpret, and critique educational research. The course draws from critical, feminist, queer, dis/ability, and decolonial theories to examine main quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs. This course provides you with an understanding of emancipatory research perspectives, which seek to address power, inequities, and injustice in research practices, particularly those conducted with underprivileged or disadvantaged participants.
