CE 530 - Geotechnical Engineering II

The application of the principles of soil mechanics to the analysis and structural design of shallow foundations, retaining walls, analysis and design of deep foundation, sheet piles, and slopes; beams on elastic foundations, foundations on difficult soils and some topics dealing with soil dynamics, and foundation settlement will be investigated.
Prerequisite(s): CE 330 and senior or graduate standing in engineering, or permission of instructor.
Laboratory fee.
