INT 830 - Creative Economies

This course takes community-owned enterprise and political economy as a locus of conceptual and pragmatic investigation. Students will develop a critical awareness of economic production in the arts, as well as the professional practices needed to engage in new forms of production, action, and exchange. Synthesizing multiple learning modalities, the course includes readings and discussion, engaged onsite learning, and a project that relates to the student’s artistic practice.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the MFA Interdisciplinary Art program.
