CS 671 - Master’s Capstone I

This capstone course is required for the Master of Science in Computer Science with a capstone option. A capstone project aims to bridge theory and practice and is aimed to have an impact on the professional life of students. It usually attempts to solve a real-life problem using existing knowledge. Students choose an area of interest, identify research questions, prepare a research plan, and write and defend a project proposal. Based upon the project proposal and work completed in this course, and with the approval of the capstone project advisor, students will follow this course with CS 672 - Master’s Capstone II , to complete their capstone writing and defend their capstone project. The course is graded on a Pass/No Pass basis.
Prerequisite(s): CS 555 , CS 557 , and CS 565 ; and at least two focus courses.
