PSY 523 - Health Psychology

Health Psychology is an interdisciplinary and dynamic field that uses the scientific method to promote health and well-being. Focusing on the biopsychosocial basis of health, we’ll learn about health psychology theories, models, and principles in a range of settings from health-promoting behaviors to end-of-life considerations. We will develop an awareness of health behavior change interventions, as well as physical and mental health, stress, invisible disabilities, and creating a healthy, productive, and accessible workplace.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in a psychology graduate program or permission of instructor.
