MGT 605 - Organizational Leadership

This course focuses on developing a broad understanding of how different individual, group, and organizational approaches influence the effectiveness of leaders within organizations. Major leadership theories are reviewed and analyzed through class discussions of concepts and cases. Key topics include: developing social and emotional intelligence; influencing and managing group dynamics; and the impact of corporate culture on organizational commitment. Students combine information from academic theories and personal experiences to gain insights into important elements of organizational leadership as well as to develop their own leadership skills.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing.
