MGT 640 - Finance for Managers

This course is an overview of finance for managers. The course begins with an introduction to the concepts behind business decision-making, and an overview of the financial system. Thereafter, the role of financial markets and the central bank in the economy is discussed. We will study how financial instruments, institutions and markets impact business decision-making. The course material then ends with a discussion of financial crises and financial market regulations.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing; not available to MBA and MSAT students for course credits.
