PSY 616 - Child Clinical Counseling Practicum & Internship

The intention of this course is to provide a professional seminar and mental health fieldwork experience targeted to the practicum and subsequent internship involving the delivery of child clinical (mental health) counseling services. The practicum component requires a minimum of one hundred hours with a minimum of forty client contact hours, and the subsequent internship (begun in PSY 616 and continued in PSY 617) requires a minimum of 600 hours with a minimum of 240 client contact hours.
